How to do it

  1. Sit at the end of a flat bench with a dumbbell in each hand, palms down.
  2. Rest the forearms on the thighs with the wrists just past the knees.
  3. Let the dumbbells lower as the wrists bend down.
  4. Raise the back of both hands up as far as they go.
  5. Pause, then lower slowly for the next rep.

Tips

  • Use light dumbbells and aim for a full, smooth range.
  • Keep the grip firm but not crushing.
