Wrist Flexor Stretch
The Wrist Flexor Stretch is a stretch with no equipment for your forearms. Share of the load in the Zulta muscle model: forearm flexors 76%, forearm extensors 14% and brachialis 5%.
How to do it
- Stand tall and raise one arm straight in front at shoulder height, palm facing forward and fingers down.
- Place the other hand across the fingers of the working hand.
- Draw the fingers gently back toward the body.
- Stop when the inside of the forearm stretches and hold for 30 to 45 seconds, breathing slowly.
- Release the fingers and switch sides.
Tips
- Keep the elbow straight to lengthen the whole forearm.
- Pull on the fingers and palm evenly, not on the thumb.
Common mistakes
- Letting the elbow bend.
- Pulling the fingers back hard and fast.
